Simple tips to save on your fuel bill
1, Check your tires
Keep the pressure on your tires up and often, if they are uneven you burn more fuel.
2, Public Transportation, Walking
I know we all hate it to some degree, I hate it but I also like money more. If I can walk and its not going to cost me too much in time I do, over a week and a month it adds up to a night out or a meal at the weekend.
3, Speed
If your driving fast your burning more fuel. Simple, its speed or cost on this one.
4, Carpool
Do you really like driving to work everyday? I sure as hell don't. Do you have any friend who you trust to drive as you would or as you like to? Then split the cost and take the load off half the weeks driving.
5, Plan your journey
Simple but most people who have a 'rough idea' end up burning more fuel than those who know the route, over time this adds up.
6, Don't overfill the tank
In a bigger car, van or jeep etc this weight adds up to an increased cost over time. If you can fill it up to roughly where you need it then add a little more but don't just get a full tank for convenience.
7, Plan where your buying fuel from
If you want the cheaper option, plan to buy fuel from a station selling the better price. So many people waste money for the sake of convenience but if you want to save money, you plan ahead.
