Pro’s and cons of different places to buy a car, maybe you’ll see somewhere you haven’t looked at.
Main Dealers:
Usually the most expensive option but also you’ll probably get the best service from a dealer. Additionally if your willing you can often negotiate with a dealer for options or a price that fits your needs.
Brokers:
Can often offer competitive new car prices, they will often have a range of dealers to choose from and put you in contact with the best option you agree upon. The con here is you might have to travel to pick up the car.
Online companies:
Usually these will have quick methods of searching for the car you want, often offering used car options too. The cons here are quite often, though you can find the type of car you want quickly, sometimes the time it takes for you to receive the final product can be too much of a delay.
Independent car supermarkets:
Generally speaking these are great for popular brands and regular models but if you want a specific type or deal you may be out of luck.
Importers:
More difficult to track down but usually the cheapest price, additionally you may find yourself on a waiting list for the final product.
Online auctions:
With the rise of internet auction sites and buying set to only increase, this is becoming a popular option. The cons are obvious, you need to be completely sure your getting what your paying for and not spending too much either.
